Mati Polli elected Chairman of RMK's Supervisory Board  23.02

At its 19 February meeting, the Supervisory Board of the RMK elected as its Chairman Mati Polli, a member of the Management Board of OÜ Tristafan. Mati Polli is a member of the Management Board of the Estonian Forest Industries Association and has been appointed to RMK's Supervisory Board by the Minister of the Environment.

According to Mati Polli, RMK has to ensure that all the benefits that the state forest provides to society are put to the greatest possible use. “As is known, in recent times RMK has engaged a great deal in making the organisation more effective. However, in order to provide a definitive assessment on RMK's activities today, one must bring themselves thoroughly up to speed, and only then is it proper to start planning the next steps," Mati Polli, said, thanking members of the Supervisory Board for the trust expressed in him.

Mati Polli was appointed Member of RMK's Supervisory Board on 28 January 2010. He has also been on RMK's Supervisory Board previously, in 2002-2003.

In addition to Mati Polli, RMK's Supervisory Board includes Riigikogu Members Tõnis Kõiv, Helmer Jõgi, Toomas Tõniste and Valdur Lahtvee; Ivar Sikk, Deputy Secretary General - State Budget and Governance Policy, Ministry of Finance; Rita Annus, Chancellor of the Ministry of the Environment; Andres Talijärv, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of the Environment; and Andres Lume, Manager, AS Kunda Trans.
