Ordering firewood

RMK accepts orders for firewood of 10 m³ and 24 m³. Firewood can be ordered by private persons, apartment associations, government departments and non-profit organisations, provided that the ordered volume does not exceed 50 m³ a year. If the mentioned interested buyers wish to order more, they have to participate in the auctions organised by RMK on equal grounds with all other interested buyers; notice of such auctions will be published in the sales calendar.

Firewood is considered to include timber with or without bark that must not disintegrate when loaded onto a truck. Firewood from deciduous trees may include all deciduous tree species. Our firewood is 3.0 m +/- 3 dm long, 5 cm or more in diameter, with loads including the occasional log over 50 cm thick from the top end of a tree.

The following are sales prices for firewood, inclusive of delivery, as of 1^st July 2010:

* m³ is 1 solid cubic metre of felled timber or the same as a true cubic metre.

To purchase firewood, e-mail your order to kyte@rmk.ee or call 676 7676 from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M. on workdays. Please indicate the type of firewood and its quantity in your e-mail, as well as the name of the person placing the order, the phone number, e-mail address, and the address of the place of delivery (must include: rural municipality, village, street, and house number).

Once an order has been submitted, we will check on the details concerning access to the place of delivery and then notify you of the likely time of delivery, subject to firewood availability and demand.

Payments for firewood are to be made by bank transfer as per the sales quotation sent by RMK. No cash transactions can be accepted. In the “Note” field of the payment order, the name of the person that placed the order and the number of the sales quotation must be written. Once the payment amount has been received, you will be contacted to specify the delivery date.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. Firewood is delivered by a regular timber truck (length up to 18.75 m and height up to 4 m) equipped with a hoist, and there has to be sufficient space at the required place of delivery for a large truck to manoeuvre and unload.

2. No orders for firewood for intended purchases are accepted for areas within city and town limits, clearly delineated compactly built-up areas in a small town and village, streets intended for passenger car traffic, and areas along those as well as areas with overhead transmission lines.

3. If the timber cannot be unloaded at the required place or if a representative of the person that placed the order is not at the place of delivery on the appointed time, the truck will return the timber to the RMK warehouse. From the amount paid in advance, double the delivery cost will be deducted and the balanced refunded.
