The driven hunt season has begun 04.10

1 October saw the start of the most engaging time of the hunting year – driven hunting with dogs. From October to November, the most hunted game will be moose. The forest echoes with the barks of dogs and the calls of hunters; somewhere a branch breaks, a black spotted woodpecker calls…

This year the size of Estonia’s moose population allows for 4500 animals to be hunted. For 2010 the hunting districts under RMK management have a hunting volume of 250 for moose, up to 50 for red deer, 250 for roe deer, and about 500 for wild boar.

A hunting day offers a busy experience in the autumn coloured forest, lots of thrills and adventure and the lucky may even bring home their quarry. But mostly the hunt offers a chance to spend an active day with fellow hunters, with friends or colleagues.

The Hunting Management Department of RMK offers hunting both for companies and for groups of friends. If you are interested, please contact us via E-mail: hunting@rmk.ee .

Good hunting!
